Grow your career with Verdant Parks

Thurston Manor, part of the award-winning Verdant Parks family, is entering an exciting new chapter, and we’d love you to be part of it. We’re looking for a Touring Warden who takes pride in being brilliant at the basics and understands that the small details make a big difference to our guests.

At Verdant Parks, we believe great experiences are built on strong foundations, clean facilities, clear communication, and teams who genuinely care. We support our people, invest in training, and value those who show pride in their work. If you enjoy working outdoors, take satisfaction in doing things properly, and love helping others enjoy their time away, we’d love to hear from you.

As a Touring Warden, you’ll be a visible, approachable presence and a reliable pair of hands behind the scenes. Your focus will be on getting the basics right, every day — and delivering a smooth, friendly, and well-organised experience for our guests.

Typical duties and responsibilities:

  • Welcoming Guests – Checking guests in, issuing Welcome Packs, answering questions, and ensuring they’re safely and correctly pitched.

  • Pitch & Facilities Standards – Completing pre-arrival pitch checks and keeping shower blocks and shared facilities clean, stocked and well presented.

  • Guest Support – Assisting with enquiries and departures, offering help proactively, and promoting facilities and activities in a warm, professional way.

  • Grounds Care – Mowing, trimming and maintaining touring areas so they remain tidy, safe and welcoming.

  • Repairs & Upkeep – Carrying out light maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing, heating and interior fixes where needed.

  • Safety & Siting – Supporting caravan siting and de-siting, managing connections safely, and keeping walkways and shared spaces hazard-free.

What We’re Looking for:

Someone friendly, reliable and hands-on, who enjoys working outdoors, keeps standards high, and understands that clean facilities, well-presented pitches and a warm welcome make all the difference. If you’ve got a positive, can-do attitude, care about doing things properly, and enjoy helping guests have a great stay, you'll love working for Verdant Parks.

Why you'll love Team Verdant:

  • Enhanced annual leave entitlement for length of service;
  • Save money with our online discount platform;
  • Discounts on park breaks for you, your friends and your family;
  • Discounts on park facilities, including restaurant and leisure;
  • An annual 'Verdant Experience' – a park break, but with no charge!;
  • Access to a 24/7 confidential counselling and advice line;
  • Opportunities for recognition and reward;
  • Training & development opportunities;
