Our Charity Partnership with National Autistic Society
10/05/2024
For our 2024 charity year, we have teamed up with the National Autistic Society, and aim to raise £50,000 before the end of January 2025.
We asked our team, holiday home owners, and holiday guests to nominate a charity, and vote for our Charity of the Year partner. National Autistic Society won the vote - they're committed to helping the 700,000 autistic people in the UK and their families. They do this through running specialist schools, campaigning for improved rights, providing training for companies, and providing advice and guidance. Find out more about the important work done by the charity by visiting their website.
Throughout the year, we plan to hold a variety of events, including annual charity open days, which comprise of BBQs, raffles, and live entertainment. Team members will also participate in events such as the Great North Run, bungee jumps, and sponsored walks to help meet the fundraising target.
The National Autistic Society also hosted a virtual lunch and learn session for Verdant team members, providing education on autism to help improve the experience of autistic people on the parks.
We're hosting a competition with the National Autistic Society, where you have the chance to win a holiday! View full details and enter the competition by clicking here.
