Wild Shot: A Wrap Up of our Wonderful Competition

Our Wild Shop Competition has come to an end, and we're thrilled to congratulate our winner, Hocking Photography! 

His mesmerising photos of British birds, including a tufted duck, robin and Mandarin duck, completely blew the judges away, and we're excited to see more of his work in future.

Since we had so many entries for this competition, we would like to share a few more of our favourites. They may not have taken the top prize, but they still managed to capture the attention of our judges and for that we think they deserve a shout out.

We're kicking things off with this stunning shot of a goose stretching its wings, taken in Beecraigs Country Park in West Lothian. The reflection shining in the rippling water brings a fantastic element of movement to the photo and really brings it to life.

With fabulous shots featuring insects and a beautiful robin, Lesley manages to capture an incredible amount of detail. The personalities of the subjects really shine through and definitely put a smile on the faces of the judges.

Bringing some gorgeous shots of deer, dolphins, kingfishers and even a white tailed eagle, the largest bird in the UK, Hugh's photography certainly deserves some recognition. From the froth of the waves to the magnificent colours of the kingfisher feathers, each photo is as breathtaking as the last.
