Subletting is a fantastic way to help cover some of your annual running costs when your holiday home would otherwise be vacant, with the peace of mind that it's in reliable hands. What are the costs of hiring out your holiday home?
Verdant Leisure earn a commission of 20% of the gross booking value plus VAT. This covers:
- Booking management, customer care, and administration
- Marketing
- 24-hour on-park service including maintenance and cleaning checks
- Safety checks
- Payment collection and key handling
- Gas and electricity
How much will you earn?
The income you can earn from hiring out your holiday home depends on the grade, the number of weeks you sublet, and when you make it available throughout the year.

Frequently asked questions

This depends on the number weeks and the seasonality during which you make your holiday home available for us to sell on your behalf. We will endeavour to fill as many of those weeks as we can, but cannot guarantee specific booking levels.

We do our best to obtain the highest price for your holiday home based on the rates stated on our website. However, the holiday market is very competitive and therefore we may offer discounts and special offers to encourage bookings.

It is not possible to guarantee your income for a specific date or season. However, we will make every effort to maximise your bookings in a controlled manner.

You will be paid income from the hiring out of your holiday home each January, following the previous letting year, alongside a statement summarising the previous bookings and the money earned. The amount due will be sent to you as account credit and takes into consideration expenses for commission, VAT, and the services Verdant Leisure provides. You will receive an email statement.

All minor repairs and replacements (under £50.00) are dealt with as they are reported to us and these sums will be charged to your account. We will notify you of any major repairs which the Company, in its sole discretion, thinks reasonably necessary to return the holiday home to an acceptable standard for hiring out and provide an estimate of the cost of repair. Where appropriate you will need to advise your insurance company. We may be unable to let your holiday home until these repairs have been carried out.

In accordance with the park rules, to ensure the smooth operation of the park and the safety of all our guests, all hiring out must be conducted through Verdant Leisure.
